With all of the blockbuster titles coming out in just the first 4 months of the year its hard to think about the fact that there is still 8 more months in the year that will be filled with even more AAA titles. I give credit where it is due and the 360 has many AAA titles of its own for 2010, but just for PS3 exclusives which ones stand out as a Game of the year? Instantly i think of God of War 3. One game though that has intrigued me since i first heard of it is Heavy Rain. Every time i here more news about this game or see new footage of it i get more and more excited about it. I think GotY should be more than just the game that sold the most copies, or had the highest score on metacritic. It should be more about innovation and pushing the limit. Heavy Rain is about the story of a serial killer named the Origami killer and the events of this story from 4 different peoples perspectives. What is interesting about Heavy Rain is that there is over 20 hours of dialogue and literally each decision you make in the game can change the course of the game entirely. In most games if the main character you are playing dies it is game over, but in HR if you die you just continue the story from another persons perspective. So there are almost endless possibilities to how the story can unfold and end giving it huge replay value. Look at this recently released video of Heavy Rain and you will see why i believe it is a contender for Game of the Year. Keep in mind that in this video the footage you are seeing is 100% in game footage of a person actually controlling the character. Be Warned that the video contains CG nudity.Enjoy!

Early 2010 Games im looking out for
With the blockbuster year of games that the PS3 had last year, multi and exclusive, looks like 2010 just may top it. Here are some of the upcoming games im looking to get.
First of all, January/ February are a couple packed months for gaming so with a limited budget i have to pick out the definate picks from the maybes. January starts off with Darksiders, Bayonetta, Army of two: 40th day, and MAG. All of which are buyable games but after October-December having purchased Borderlands, Assassins Creed 2, Ratchet & Clank Future: A crack in Time, and Uncharted 2, my pockets are left a little empty. So i will have to already dismiss Bayonetta. Although i played the demo and it seems like a fun intersting game it is to much of a Devil May Cry clone and those games just arent my style. As for the other 3 they will have to be maybes and put off for a few months. Played the MAG beta and i was decently impressed but im very tired of 1st person shooters and dont really care much for online competitive play. Ive heard good things about Darksiders but i feel it could be a rent. Army of two looks like it will be a fun multi player shooter so when one of my buddies picks it up maybe i will too to play the co-op. Lets move on to February.
February is an extremely packed month but there are a couple of titles in that month that to me are must buys. Feb has White Knight Chronicals, Dantes Inferno, Bioshock 2, Star Ocean The Last Hope: International, Singularity, Alien Vs. Predator, Lost Planet 2, and Heavy Rain. Let me start off with my first must buy and it is Heavy Rain. With the deep story, great graphics, and unique game play style as well as hundreds of game changing decisions in the game giving it high replay value it is a day one buy for me. My second highly interested title is Alien Vs. Predator. Now although this game has got some good reviews, alot of people feel it wont be that good. Let me start off by saying im a fan of the Aliens and Predator franchises and the idea of having not only a story mode of either being an Alien, Predator, or Marine, but an online multiplayer battle with all 3 of those species running around doing battle just sounds fun to me. Plus the with Australia banning the game due to excessive gore i.e; aliens ripping marines in half and predators pulling off marines heads and keeping them as trophies, as well as excessive blood you just cant go wrong! Next on my list is Dantes Inferno. DI is in my opinion a God of War clone. Which since im a big GoW fan that doesnt really bother me. I played the demo and was impressed with the game play and graphics, but with the previous 2 games being must buys and God of War 3 coming just one month later this one may be a buy in a couple months. As for all the others although they are all honorable mentions im just not that interested. Moving on to March now.
March is not as jammed packed as February but it is not lacking in quality. It has Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Final Fantasy XIII, and God of War 3. My must buy here is God of War 3. If you ever played the previous 2 or played the demo for the third then i have nothing more to say. If you havent then i suggest you buy the God of War collection which is a remake of the first 2 on one blu ray and comes with a demo of the 3rd for 49.99$. As for BBC2 like im said im tired of first person shooters. Now i know everyone is waiting for Final Fantasy XIII but iv never been a fan of any of the others so im just not interested.
