DVD Finally showing its inferior capabilities?

There is always a new form of media that comes out and its expensive and not well accepted at first but when its a better technology and it gets cheaper it ALWAYS replaces its predacessor. This is the case with cd's replacing music tapes and dvds replacing movie tapes. Well now the new best standard for high defintition is Blu ray. Now that it has been out for sometime and the players and movies themselves have become more cheaper its dominance is growing. Well we all know that Sony created this tech just as they created cd's and is used in the PS3. Just like HD DVD was sent to the grave by blu ray it is only a matter of time before dvd follows.

With heavy hitter AAA PS3 exclusives like Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, and Heavy Rain it is easy to see that the truth is dvds limited storage space is hindering the potential of multi platform games when it comes to the PS3. It has even been spoken about from the developers of Lost Planet 2 who came out and said they had to sacrifice alot of content to not exceed the limitations of the 360's dvd. They also stated that the content that didnt fit would more than likely be sold as DLC. Im sorry but im tired of getting lackluster multi plat games because of developers being limited by dvd storage capacity. We have seen games this whole gen come out for the 360 before the PS3 and then later on a PS3 version get released with more content and better graphics, one example being Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2. When will people realize that the 360 and its dvd drive are sub par with the standard of high definition and with more and more PS3 exclusives showing not only the power of the PS3 but the power of the extra storage that blu ray provides.
